Our weekend was fantabulous! We made a day trip to York. Decision was made one day before the weekend started. Very spontaneous but that's where the fun comes in. :)
York is definitely a pretty little city where you can find many exquisite architecture and beautiful tea rooms. I especially love those old-fashioned shops and pubs along the cobbled streets which makes the city so quaint you wouldn't want to miss visiting in UK.
It's true. This city is worth a visit, perhaps when you need a cultural getaway with friends or simply a romantic weekend.
We should definitely do this more often, provided we have the time (and money) to =) I had so much fun over the weekend having cookie with us. Geez, it's still Sunday night but I'm already looking forward to the weekend.

THIS
is NOT my school. The reason I said that is because it's not where I attend my lectures and spend my whole week running around. SO UNFAIR. I wonder what's wrong with all these engineers and architects that they can design such impressive buildings for the main campus of the university, but not for themselves? Mind you, main campus is mainly meant for business students and basically all the other students except for engineering. Not to mention the fact that engineering students usually pay a higher tuition fees. HOW SAD.
Ok it's not that bad lah actually. I still haven't got a chance to snap a picture of my campus though. I still get confused with all the different names of the buildings sometimes. We have Renold building, Barnes Wallis, Pariser, Jackson's Mill and so on. Tell me how to remember when all the buildings look so similar, and all covered with red bricks.
As a conclusion, I'm HAPPY.

Temperature on my HTC showed that it's freaking 11°C and cloudy outside in the morning before I left the house. Hence I decided to wear something thicker than the normal cardigan I wear. And I was already thinking, this can't be true- it's not even the end of September yet come on! But I chose to trust that seemingly very brilliant temperature gadget on my HTC.
Goddammit. I was bloody right. I WAS. Until that very second I decided to change my mind and trusted that useless piece of gadget.
I was literally sweating like a cow under my leather jacket (fyi, leather under hot sun equals to suicide) walking on my wedges from my current apartment ALLLLLL THE WAYYYYY to the main campus which is located on the Oxford Road. I walked for at least 40 minutes. FORTY BLOODY MINUTES. ON THAT BLOODY WEDGES. UNDER THE BLOODY HOT SUN. AND THAT BLOODY JACKET. I could have just conveniently went in my gladiators and a thin piece of cardigan lohhh.
My feet are full of blisters now. At least ten of them. Some lying beautifully underneath my toes. Can you imagine?! I can't even walk properly barefooted now. And I was almost jumping when I was in the hot shower a while ago.
That has pretty much summed up my first day in school- only to collect my swipe card. :)

Right. So this is it. End of my LDR, which also at the same time indicates the end of my CRAZY SINGLE BUT NOT AVAILABLE life. Today marks the 4th day of me moving in with my bf. Gosh I'm so hell not ready to live with another guy under one roof yet! Well moving in with a man you're NOT married to can have its challenges. But I guess it's time to learn :) That's all part of growing up. We've found an ideal place to move in by end of this month. It's an AWESOME apartment WITHout a swimming pool (unfortunately) in the city centre.
Another week to the school's orientation week. I'm getting all excited about going back to school because I will then have a life of my own in school (without the bf :P). Hopefully I will manage to get a handful of new friends. (I'm not even asking for many you see..) Fingers crossed. I've learnt that getting to know people from different culture background isn't all that easy after all these years. Anyway I will still have cookie jar for the weekends IF we don't fight.
Weather in Manchester has been great so far. It gets a little chilly when it's windy but overall there isn't much rain yet. I'm loving the sunshines ♥ Cheers!
